Anganwadi centers includes LKG and UKG classes

Image result for Anganwadi imagesState Government of Tamil Nadu order under the Integrated child Development Services Scheme has the inclusion of Montessori based classes of LKG and UKG for all Anganwadi centers operating in middle schools all over the state.
The goal of the order is to encourage parents to send their children to Anganwadi centers of government schools. It promotes the literacy rate and child education development of the state in terms of speaking, learning, writing and communication skills.
Administrative approval has been granted for 2,381 Anganwadi centers of the state comprising of 52,933 children in government middle schools. The classes of Montessori based education for LKG and UKG will be conducted on a pilot basis for three years for analyzing the future development. The school education department will incur a total expenditure of Rs. 610.57 lakh while the social welfare department incurs Rs 162.75 lakh as total expenditure from their part to implement the classes across the state.
