New Phethai cyclone to cross the coast near Chennai on 16th December

Image result for Cyclone imagesRecently a cyclone formed over the Bay of Bengal and now it is transforming in to severe strong Cyclone. This cyclone is named as Phethai Cyclone. As per the reports, it is expected to cross the coast between Chennai and Visakhapatnam during the night time on 16th December 2018.
It is said that this Cyclone Phethai is likely to cause severe damage in the districts of Chennai, Thiruvallur, and Kanchipuram.
During this period, there are prospects of very heavy rains in the districts of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Pudhucherry, etc., with cyclonic wind speeds of 110 kmph.
Trees, electric towers, and mobile phone towers may be affected severely. Hence, the Chennai Meteorological Centre has sent a letter to the state government of Tamil Nadu to take all precautionary initiatives against the damage to be caused by the cyclone.
