State government of Tamil Nadu has announced the timings for bursting crackers on Diwali. And the timing is Morning 6am to 7am and in the evening/night 7pm to 8pm.
With approval from the local administration, the public can gather together in an open public space to burst crackers.
The state government has also emphasized the need to burst only the crackers which do not generate high noise levels or let out smoke causing the pollution of the environment.
It is better to avoid bursting of 10000 wallas or 5000 wallas which generate continuous high bursting sounds over a longer period.
It is also highly recommended that the public must avoid bursting crackers near locations such as hospitals or temples/religious centers.
